Audi Reveals 2016 LMP1-H Contender

Someone other than Audi has won the WEC Drivers & Constructors Championships the past 2 seasons. No big deal to most, but to Audi this constitutes a major slump. Sister brand Porsche won the titles last season and took overall honors at Le Mans. Not one to sit back, Audi is all in with a brand new contender for 2016. The 2016 R18 E-Tron Quattro retains Audi’s 4.0 Liter the single-turbo V6 concept. However Christopher Reinke, head of LMP at Audi Sport says its “basically a new engine”. Audi will also, make the jump to the 6 megajoule Sub Class, which they hope will put them on level footing with the 8 megajoule Porsche 919. Sit back and enjoy the official reveal for Audi’s 2016 E-Tron Quattro
