Look Back At Loeb’s Record Run

It has been a pretty spectacular 7 days for Romain Dumas. He won Le Mans and last Sunday he won the 2016 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Driving a Norma M20 prototype developed by his RD Limited label, Dumas won with a time of 8 minutes, 51.445. For those of you keeping track at home that is the 2nd fastest time up Pikes Peak. Pretty spectacular in its own right. However that is 38 seconds slower than Sébastien Loeb’s record run in 2013 is a spectacular unicorn moment in Motorsports. 8 minutes 13.878 seconds looks fairly unbreakable. Lets take a look back at one of the pinnacle moments in Motorsports history.

About Chad Kennedy

Chad burst from the womb wearing a racing suit and a helmet. Chad's passion for cars is in his very DNA. His father was a gear head and passed on the tradition through owning such classics as a '66 Mustang and a '59 Corvette all while taking him to various race tracks in the area. Chad likes to wrench on his rides whenever possible, forgoing the stealership. Chad is an avid motorsports fan with particular interest in endurance/sports car racing. When not online writing for Shifting Lanes, you can find him working at the local golf course teaching people how to swing or hooning a golf cart at impossible speeds.
