Forget Lightsabers And Costumes, This Is What You Need For Comic-Con!

When you’re a gigantic toy company and you want to show up to the San Diego Comic-Con, you have to show up in style. No, we’re not talking about the usual costumes and lightsabers, or even mechanical robot suits, those are given necessities. What we’re talking about is how you arrive. When you and your friends are fully dressed in Jedi gear, and you roll up in your Clover Green Honda Civic, you’ve completely ruined the illusion. It’s best you find a parking garage far, far away and walk to the convention center.

The folks at Hot Wheels just created the perfect solution for such a first-world problem! Introducing The Rebellion’s X-Wing Fighter Carship!

Who would’ve thought that the X-Wing is powered by a 2.0 liter engine? Watch the making of the Carship below and you’ll see that it has a similar setup as an open-wheel race car: mid-engined and rear-wheel drive. The suspension geometry setup looks ready to tackle Monaco’s Grand Hotel Hairpin and the slick tires sufficient fat to handle high g-load cornering.

This thing is certainly not for sale but according to Hot Wheels a 1:64 scale model will be on sale later this year.
