That One Time A Comedian Tried To Smuggle The President Out Of The White House

Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee is a great web show created by one of the greatest comedians of all time, Jerry Seinfeld. The most memorable episode thus far is when Seinfeld interviewed the 44th President Of The United States, Barack Obama, in a mint light blue 1963 Corvette Stingray with a split rear window. The trip ends up being short because Seinfeld was not allowed to go off the White House premises, as commanded by the very manly and serious gate guard.

This throws a big wrench into the show’s structure, as most episodes involve the comedian and his guest star going off to a coffee shop and talk about miscellaneous topics. Instead, President Obama and Seinfeld decided to go to one of the White House’s break room and make one of the plainest coffee you can make.

The questions get weird, but it’s awesome to see the President be more relatable than his usual self. He does take the Corvette for a spin towards the end, but he fails at his attempt to have the guard let him out.
