How Do Different Wastegates Work? Wonder No Longer!

Wastegates, they are far more than just that thing that makes the cool sound and isn’t a blow off valve. Wastegates are an integral part of any turbocharged car. They are the unit that is most directly responsible for controlling the boost. Too much boost and your engine goes kablamo, too little and what the F was the point of installing the turbo?  There are two forms of wastegates, internal and external. If you geek out on engine tech like I do then this video is a much watch. In it you will learn the differences and benefits of external and internal wastegates. So you can go out and spend more time on boost in a safe and responsible manner.
