Bentley Launches Bathurst 12 Hour Hype Video

This might be the best to back to back weekends on the motorsports calendar. Last weekend we ushered in the brand new DPi era at the Rolex 24 at Daytona. The race was epic, but I can all but guarantee you the racing this weekend will be even better. That is because this weekend we have what has become one of the best races year in and year out. It takes place on a gorgeous track that is fast, technical and one of the more unique circuits in the world.

The track in question is the legendary Mount Panorama Circuit at Bathurst! Bathurst is most famous for the 1000 however in recent years the 12 hours has clawed some of that prestige away. Frankly it has earned that, the past few seasons have produced some epic racing with the world’s elite supercars. Since it adopted the FIA GT3 platform the popularity of the 12 hour has skyrocketed. So much so that Bentley, a car company you do not for one second associate with rural Australia is launching hype videos.

Some of the best racing moments come from Bathurst. 2 years ago Nissan gave its GTR its first major international victory. Last year Shane van Gisbergen gave us the Lap Of The Gods v2.0 during qualifying. The race never disappoints, It’s why for the past 3 years I have planted my ass firmly on the couch for as much coverage as I can watch. If you like great racing strongly suggest you do the same.
