VTEC Engine + Mini Equates To Unending Amounts Of Awesome

If you’re like me, you’re a big fan of Mighty Car Mods. In their latest build they are taking Moog’s classic Mini and ditching the supercharged engine in favor of a B16B Honda motor. The new motor will produce somewhere in the neighborhood of 180 horsepower and in a car as light as the Mini it should be an absolute riot.

When completed, MCM’s Mini is going to be 10, maybe 11 different forms of awesome. There is just one major problem: when they’re done we can’t have it. Or can we? While you may not be able to have the MCM Mini you can buy the next best thing. Thanks to Bring A Trailer, you can buy a completely finished classic Mini with a B16 lurking under the hood.

Three years ago the seller purchased this car and drove it a grand total of 1000 miles. 1000 miles, in three years?!? That’s nothing. Most of us put that kind of mileage on our cars in 1 month. It is absolutely insane to have that rolling bucket of fun and not daily drive it, especially since this car comes from California. That said, the seller’s overly cautious approach to the car could be our gain. A grand total of 13,000 miles have been put on the car since it was built and the car comes with a complete build sheet and service history.
