Singapore’s First Hypercar, The Dendrobium, Might Just Stun You With Its 1,500 Horsepower

The Geneva Motor Show is coming soon, and if you’ve seen coverage of past shows you’ll know its the best auto show in the world. Despite the smaller show this is where the big name brands, and the not so well known ones, share their latest concepts to the world. In this year’s show Singapore’s first hypercar company might just turn the most heads with its first electric car, the Dendrobium.

The company Vanda Electrics named their first hypercar after an orchid, and they’ve released a terrible teaser video of it once before. Claiming a stunning 1,500 horsepower from the electric drivetrain, this new not-so-terrible CGI teaser video shows a speedometer that can reach 200 mph. Vanda Electrics also claims that it can get up and go pretty quickly as well, with a 0-62 mph time of 2.6 seconds. The rest of the car combines elements of the Ford GT’s flying buttresses, while the open wheel look reminds us of something like a BAC Mono.

You can expect the real Dendrobium to be unveiled at the 87th Geneva International Motor Show on March 7th, 2017.
