Chevrolet Gets A Dodge Demon Slayer. And It Deserves To Be Called The Exorcist

What happens when some car company comes out with a badass car with a badass name like the Demon? Someone else will try to one up you. In this case, Hennessey, the guys behind the six-wheeled Raptor, the Hellcat beating Mustang, and the 1000 horsepower Corvette, concocted a Dodge Demon Challenger competitor. The Demon isn’t even out yet, and already it has a big target on its back.

The new special edition Hennessey will be based off the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. If you’re not familiar with that car yet, here’s a quick reminder. It starts off with the LT4 engine but the supercharger has been ripped apart and replaced with a larger and higher flowing version. The engine has also been ported, coupled with a “camshaft upgrade, long-tube stainless steel headers, high-flow air induction system and custom engine management calibration.”

All of those upgrades are good to push The Exorcist (You heard that right) to 1000 bhp @ 6,400 rpm and 966 lb-ft of torque @ 4,400 rpm. This should spell big trouble for the upcoming Dodge Demon as that has been rumored to possess about 757 horsepower.
