RULES AND REGULATIONS

Keep in mind we all purchased PC to have fun.  In that spirit we are looking to have a little competitive fun, generally not taking things too seriously.  That said we will promote and enforce a clean racing environment.  Nobody wants to be in the room where guys are just slamming into one another or cutting corners.  That said we have a few basic rules to keep the racing fun and clean.

Season Format

Season Breakdown

Each season will be made up of 15 Races consisting of 5 Meets.  Each Meet will consist of 3 races, 2 Sprint races and 1 Endurance Race.  At the end of each season, each Racer’s best 4 meets (for each of the 3 championships) will contribute to their season point total.  A Racer’s worst meet, aka Joker Meet, for each Championship will be thrown out.  We understand not everyone can meet every week. This system allows a Racer to miss 1 week and still be eligible for the championships.

During the season Racers will be racing for 3 different Championships.
Overall – Total points accrued over every Race, less Overall Joker.
Sprint – Total points accrued over all Sprint Races, less Sprint Joker.
Endurance – Total Points accrued over all Endurance Races, less Endurance Joker.

Meet Breakdown

2 Sprint Races will be roughly 25 kilometers in length (1-7 Laps) each.  Give or take some distance depending on track size.

Endurance Race distance will be roughly 100 kilometers in length (4-30 Laps).  Again, some races will be longer depending on track size.  In Endurance Races will require at least 1 Pit stop.  Helpful hint to any newcomers, make sure you figure out the Pit stop procedure before the actual race.  Missing Pit In will cost you valuable time.  Not changing tire type automatically carries a 2 min penalty automatically assessed by the game.

Each Meet will broken down into “classes”.  Current season standings will be shown on the site here with previous season results available by request.  Each race will have a practice before hand (unless there is an inquiry into the previous race) Followed up by a qualifying session.  Session times will increase for larger tracks.

General Rules:

Light contact is ok, but blatant slamming isn’t.  Overtake someone via slamming into them, and you must give the position back.  Even if it means losing more than one position.   Same applies to cutting corners.  We will try to have GT6 automatically police this with in race penalties.  We recommend airing on the side of caution.  If you feel someone has broken these rules feel free to mention it post race.  Keep in mind any inquiries take time, time we could be racing.  So make sure its a legit complaint.

Blocking.  To keep it simple just commit to a line and stick with it through a corner.   If you register a complaint and we find you have been weaving all around the track its unlikely we will rule in your favor.
