The engineer amongst the crew, Hansen once built a mini baja car with his bare hands. Hansen had the opportunity to join Honda’s R&D team in Ohio but chose the life of the east coast and the defense industry instead. A die hard auto enthusiast he religiously follows the auto industry and loves long walks in the auto shows.
I disagree. I think its stinks of a last min botch job. Personally find it to be a joke of a race track. Particularly for the ALMS. Last 2 seasons they had the whole railroad crossing fiasco thus creating the need for a last min chicane. Frankly its a idiotic idea to have a railroad crossing as part of the active track. Then there was this years ALMS crash fest. It is a track that breeds accidents and cautions. And with the time it takes to get organized under the yellow it just makes for a super boring race. I like driving around the stadiums and around the harbor. Its a really cool idea. However they need to take a year off and re think the course prep and layout.
Baltimore reminds me of how Long Beach used to be: narrow, fast, and a whole lot of nail-biting.
