This Is Why You Need A Safety Car

During the 2016 Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race at Long Beach Grand Prix, a race full of Toyota/Scion GT86/FR-S/BRZ/86, there was a fairly benign crash into the barriers that resulted in a terrible chain reaction. What’s worst about this whole clusterf@$k was the way the crash was handled after it had happened. You’d think a safety car would be dispatched immediately to govern the race, but that was not the case.
