The Nürburgring has earned the nickname The Green Hell. The 14.2 mile long loop of the Nordschleife consist of some complex chicanes, hairpins, elevation changes, off-camber turns, and long straights. The circuit is a true driver’s test of discipline, skill, and courage. The long loop truly tests a person’s focus and driving abilities. Throw in mother nature’s rain and The Green Hell can become a deathtrap for cars as seen in the video below. Check out how some people have been lucky enough to escape tank-slapping instabilities, and how many people received very expensive lessons in search of the meaning of grip, understeer, and oversteer.
