This Is Apparently A Thing, And Lots Of People Fail At It

Apparently there’s a seven day festival in Abu Dhabi, called the Liwa International Festival, and it’s a party where really powerful and HIGHLY modified four wheel drive cars sprint up a sand dune. And it’s not just any sand dune, it’s the Tel Moreeb, which has been considered the world’s tallest sand dune at over 300 meters tall. The sand dune has a 50 degree slope and is 1600 meters long. Based on the video below, this is just steep and tall enough to make a bunch of extremely powerful and overboosted four wheel drive trucks fail, sometimes spectacularly. We weren’t there but we imagine the place smells like clutch and all sorts of things burning.
