Formula 1 is considered the pinnacle of motorsport, but there are many, MANY more forms of racing that are more fun to watch. Off the top of my head GT3 and Australian V8 Supercars are the two that I’d pick to be more entertaining. The latter of that just produced possibly the best pass of the year.
During the Gold Coast 600, Scott McLaughlin executed a pass on Mark Winterbottom that can only be seen to be believed. Divebomb doesn’t do it justice.
Play of the day @smclaughlin93! How did you save that? #GC600 #VASC pic.twitter.com/UlnpOI7sim

Best part about this pass is that it put McLaughlin 3rd on the podium. The balls needed to pull off that kind of pass must be enormous. Here’s how he called it.
It…probably looked worse because I felt he moved under brakes on me. … I sort of had to adjust my line of sight, line of entry, and then that sort of locked up one wheel, locked up the other and then I eventually gathered it all up and then managed to make a pretty clean pass.
Clean, with that kind of pass, is an understatement. Hell of a job. Formula 1 drivers are jealous they cannot do this.
