Winter is tough. In case you don’t believe that here’s how a 100 car pileup starts. The presence of slush, ice, and mixture of road grime just makes for a terrible cocktail that will surely ruin your day. Even those people with the best car control sometimes just can’t handle a tank-slapper on ice.
Enter this Jedi Master FedEx trucker, traveling downhill on an extremely icy patch of road. The driver is not carrying one, but two trailers behind his semi. The rear trailer began swaying freely with the driver having absolutely no control.
As reported by the CHP – Truckee Facebook page:
The driver had jackknifed at the top of the grade. When the driver had lost it at the top of the hill, he had broke the air lines to his rear trailer. This caused the brakes on the rear trailer to lock up.
This was a truly scary situation and we still cannot believe the trucker was able to bring it to a stop. FedEx needs to give this person a medal and a giant raise.
