Stop us if you’ve heard of this manufacturer before: The Mazzanti Automobili. Never heard of it? They’re an Italian automobile company that’s responsible for the creation of the Evantra, a 1,300 kg car that is powered by a 7.0 liter aluminum V8 engine, pushing out 751 horsepower. Mazzanti also makes an even more extreme version of that one called the Evantra Millecavalli. I don’t know my Spanish very well but I think that means “one thousand horses”, which is also the number of horsepower produced out of the 7.2 liter V8 engine. Based on the video below it looks like Mazzanti’s has been busy prototyping their next car.
The car looks pretty similar to the Millecavalli save for the extra chunky wing and squarish body panels. Perhaps this will be a face-lifted version of the Millecavalli, which has a very Koenigsegg-like limited number of 25 examples in the world. There hasn’t been much coverage on the car besides appearing in the Top Marques Monaco Show in 2013 and also being featured in the Playstation 4’s DriveClub as seen below:
The mid-engined, weird door swinging, supercar certainly looked skittish as it tried to avoid the onlookers. There’s absolutely no details about this new prototype but judging from the noise it will still have some form of the American V8 found in earlier versions of the Evantra. Given that they’ve accomplished the 1,000 horsepower mark previously, we’re fairly certain this one would use that mark as a starting point.
