2015 NYIAS: World Car Of The Year Awards

Day 2 of the New York Auto Show begins each year with the World Car of the Year Awards (WCOTY). Last year there were many categories showcasing some of the most exclusive cars in the world. This year is no different. Here are the categories and the nominees.

Green COTY

 

The BMW i8, the Volkswagen Golf GLE, and the Mercedes Benz S500 E.

Luxury COTY

 

The BMW i8, the Range Rover, and the Mercedes Benz S class Coupe.

Performance COTY

The BMW M3 sedan/M4 coupe, the Jaguar F-Type Coupe R, and the Mercedes Benz AMG GT. 

WCOTY

The Ford Mustag GT, The Mercedes Benz C class, and the Volkswagen Passat

And the winners are:

Performance COTY Mercedes AMG GT

WCOTY the Mercedes Benz C-class

 

Also of note, the World Design COTY went to the Citroen C4 Cactus.
