New McLaren Goes For Luxury Supercar Glory. Nailed It.

I have an unrelenting love with McLaren. The 650s is my current unattainable dream car. The 570s I saw the unveiling of at last year’s New York Auto Show. The P1 is one of the top 3 most incredible cars in the world. McLaren is on a role.

Now it seems they will look into a segment where they don’t have much experience, but will undoubtedly excel: Supercar Luxury. Enter the newly revealed 570GT which promises a laundry list of awesomeness including more cargo space than a Ford Focus, a fixed panoramic roof, a more luxurious interior that previous models, and better ride comfort.

This is still a McLaren after all and according to them it’ll get going from 0-60 in 3.4 seconds with a twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8 engine that is still making 562hp and 443lb ft of torque. It also costs like a McLaren with pricing looking to be in the £154,000 for the U.K. market (that’ll be approximately $215,000).

Either way I think it looks great and can’t wait to see it premier at the Geneva Motor Show. For now, enjoy the teaser video and pics below.
