If you’re the kind that sticks around after the credits during a movie then you probably caught a teaser of Ken Block’s next Gymkhana car at the end of Gymkhana Eight. The new car is based on the Ford Focus RS platform that outputs an even 350 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels.
The car destined for Gymkhana Nine and the 2016 FIA World Rallycross, has been highly modified to the tune of 600 horsepower. It’s also equipped with some slick aerodynamic upgrades that will feed the brakes with massive cooling potential regardless whether the car is going straight or after it has been flicked in the Scandinavian style.
This time the Ford Focus has received a trippy livery designed by street art artist, Felipe Pantone. The livery looks like someone blended television static with artwork from the Saved By The Bell studio. The artist didn’t spray paint the artwork onto the car, rather the design was digitized onto a vinyl wrap. The look of the car is certainly wacky but certainly distinctive and eye catching. What do you think?
