Chevy Camaro ZL1 Is Good At Shredding Tires And Sounds Mean Doing It

The plain ol’ vanilla Camaro is decent enough as seen in our group drive video. But the one we really wanted is the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, which was seen flying around the Nürburgring, giving our patriotism some goosebumps. The ZL1, which might be a better bargain than the Corvette Z06, just made an appearance at the 2016 Goodwood Festival Of Speed. The ZL1 pumps out 640 brake horsepower from 6.2 liter supercharged V8 and is mated to a crazy 10 speed automatic transmission that General Motors claims can shift even faster than a Porsche PDK! That amount of power is plenty for overpowering the rear tires as seen in the video, and the ZL1 toasts the rubbers in no time at all. It then makes a quick getaway but not before giving us that sweet supercharged melody. We can listen to that all day!
