The new Alfa Romeo Giulia is staggeringly gorgeous. This really isn’t up for debate. In my oh so humble and in no way expert opinion, it’s arguably the best looking sedan on the market right now. Well there’s a pretty crazy rumor out there that is saying we could get a wagon version. Enthusiasts’ hearts around the globe just skipped a beat.
If you’re an enthusiast, chances are you have a soft spot for a power wagon. I know I do. Jaguar just said that the XF R might get a wagon version and that it could be coming to the states in the near future. I’m fairly certain I squealed like a giddy schoolgirl at that news. This one might beat it.
My god. The beauty. I need a minute…
According to Autonews, which cites unnamed sources, Alfa Romeo will launch an estate version in Europe by next year in order to help boost the model’s sales.
Since its debut on the European market (in May 2016), the Giulia has gradually gained momentum, becoming the fourth best-selling midsize premium model in September, after the German trio of Mercedes, BMW and Audi.
It’s unknown whether the Giulia station wagon will make it stateside, but it’s clear that the car maker’s most important marketplace for that particular body style remains Europe, since estates account for 42 percent of sales in the midsize premium segment.
Dear Alfa Romeo. Hey. Sup. It’s Gregson. Listen, if you bring this to the US market, I’ll be the first in line for it. I will sell my WRX and buy this. I’m not kidding. I really hope this makes it over here.
If it does, you guys will at least sell one. That’s totally worth it, right?
