For a compact car, the i3 was expensive. However, if you go looking for an i3 on the used market you can find used examples for much less than new. Currently prices on Autotrader UK start at about £12,000, making it an interesting used car.

Battery degradation is a concern for used electric cars, but BMW guarantees a 70% capacity after 8 years.
