The pinnacle of automotive luxury is a hot-debated topic. Most believe Rolls-Royce’s highly sophisticated and lavish Phantom and Ghost models take the cake. However, there is another luxury sedan that arguably trumps any Rolls-Royce: the Bentley Mulsanne Grand Limousine by Mulliner. The Grand Limousine is based on the standard Mulsanne, yet the Grand Limousine seats six instead of four thanks to its considerably longer wheelbase. Only seven were produced, many of which made their way to the UAE. Today, one of these UAE-based Grand Limousines is up for auction through Collecting Cars.
The Mulsanne Grand Limousine is no ordinary luxury sedan. This ultra-limited Limousine is over three feet (over one meter) longer than its short-wheelbase counterpart, and boasts three inches (79mm) more headroom for unparalleled comfort. In total, this British behemoth stretches an entire 21.5 feet (6.575 meters) in length, making it the longest production-built car to date.
The Grand Limousine up for auction possesses a one-off specification, coated in Pearl White, paired with 21-inch wheels exclusive to the Grand Limousine. Mated to the Grand-Limousine-only wheels are Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT tires for maximum cornering grip. The current condition is like-new but comes with at least seven small, since-fixed dents on driver-side body panels. The paint job and chrome trim are in marvelous condition as well, giving the car a stunning appearance.
Stepping inside the Mulsanne Grand Limousine reveals red, quilted leather from head to toe, and a surplus of amenities. The leather is paired with white stitching, matching the exterior paintwork. Front sector seating is electric, featuring a massaging setting with adjustable lumbar support. Cruise control and air conditioning are among the many creature comforts found in the front cabin. Piano Black and chrome clad gauges state 380 kilometers (236 miles) driven in its five-year existence.
The rear cabin, with seating for four that has supposedly been inspired by private jets, is like no other. Brand new heating and air conditioning has been applied to the Mulsanne Grand Limousine and utilizes concentrated climate zones, providing passenger-specific settings. And let’s not forget the space for chilled beverages. A (Champagne) bottle cooler with crystal flutes occupies the space between the front facing seats, while the opposing seats have a drink cooler at their passenger’s disposal.
The Grand Limousine, like all Mulsanne models, is powered by a 6.75-liter, twin-turbo V8 producing 505 horsepower and 752 pound-feet of torque. The power is sent to the rear wheels only through an eight-speed automatic transmission, which can manage a 0-60 sprint of 5.1 seconds.
The current bid sits at $10,000, and the listing ends on the 12th of April. Click here to view the listing or place a bid.
