This weekend IMSA descended upon Long Beach for the Acura Grand Prix at Long Beach and the 100 minute sprint race was full of excitement from start to finish.
In GTD, the No. 66 Gradient Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo22 did not disappoint at their manufacturers race. Running a specialty livery featuring ‘Chiaki’s Journey’ Acura’s anime series, the dynamic and dangerous driver combo of Marc Miller and Mario Farnbacher, brought home a second place finish. Miller, who started the race, and Farnbacher combined to gain four positions during the 100 minutes.
“Long Beach is always a tough, tough circuit,” Miller said. “After having a car that could have finished on the podium at both of the first two races this year, this proves that both Acura and the team belong here and deserve to be standing on the podium and spray champagne. We are really thankful to all the guys in Acura for helping us put this together at their home turf and we really would love to do more!” This is the second podium finish on a street circuit for Gradient Racing in IMSA competition with the first coming at Detroit last year.
