Porsche 911 GT3 RS Tribute to Carrera RS Package has made it’s first US appearance

In 2022 Porsche announced that they would be paying homage to one of the most iconic 911 models with the 911 GT3 RS Tribute to Carrera RS Package. Today it made it’s first appearance in the US and was shown to members of the media.

Though today was for the media, the initial public viewing opportunity will take place at Sebring International Raceway during the 12 Hours of Sebring, March 15th – 18th, with initial customer deliveries taking place in only a few weeks.

President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America, Kjell Gruner, had this to say about the package, “This package pays tribute to the 911 Carrera RS 2.7, an absolute driver’s car and an icon. Today, nothing epitomizes the idea of a driver’s car more than the new 911 GT3 RS. Like the original, it uses cutting edge aerodynamics to achieve incredible performance, making this a perfect homage to the legend from 1973.”

The Tribute to Carrera RS Package includes unique stylistic elements for the interior and exterior, a bespoke Porsche Design timepiece and several accessories that have been created specifically for the car. These accessories focus on the details and included are key caps in Python Green, RS valve stem caps with script in Python Green, a custom car cover, custom license plate frames and a pair of 1:43 scale model cars, one of the 1973 Carrera RS and the other a replica of the new car.

Because this is a tribute package, Porsche has thought of all the little things. There are specially colored Exclusive Manufaktur elements including magnesium wheels painted Python Green, Python Green mirror caps and GT3 RS side graphics. Continuing the theme are PORSCHE script on the underside of the wing, a GT3 RS graphic on the rear bumper and a special RS logo on the wing end plates that features the American flag.

There are several interior modifications that come along as well, this includes deviated stitching in green, illuminated door sill guards with “Tribute to Carrera RS” script and a center console lid embossed with the RS logo and keys painted in white.

The standard Weissach Package adds a significant amount of exposed carbon fiber to the interior and exterior. You also get added carbon fiber chassis components, anti-roll bars, coupling rods and a shear panel. Customers can also opt to have the hood and roof painted in body color at no added cost while still adding the performance benefits that are exclusive to the Weissach Package, such as the weight saving magnesium wheels.

The 2023 911 GT3 RS equipped with the Tribute to Carrera RS Package has a total MSRP of $312,500 not including the $1,450 delivery, processing and handling fee.
