CTS Custom Trailers to support Maynard Wilkerson Racing Funny Car team

This weekend kicks off the 2023 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season which means that drivers and teams are making the last of their preseason sponsorship announcements. Today, fan favorite and driver of the Maynard Wilkerson Racing Funny Car, Tim Wilkerson, became the most recent driver to do so.

Tim has been well known throughout his career for retaining long term sponsors having Levi, Ray and Shoup backing since 1999 and Summit Racing Equipment for 15 years. His announcement today brings long term marketing partner CTS Custom Trailers aboard his new MWR venture as an associate level sponsor of the SCAG Power Equipment/Levi, Ray and Shoup Ford Mustang.

Owned by the father/daughter duo of Jason and Lakin Curry, CTS Custom Trailers is a newly launched division of Curry’s Truck and Auto Repair, who have been a sponsor of Tim’s for 11 years. The Muscatine, Iowa company are dedicated to building customized boat trailers that fit the unique needs and lifestyle of every manufacturer and boat owner.

This weekend’s kickoff at the Gatornationals, March 10th – 12th in Gainesville, Florida, will have Tim, a 22 time Funny Car winner including three final round appearances in Gainesville and a win in 2010, beginning the pursuit of his first championship title.
