This weekend, July 19th – 21st, the NHRA heads to the Pacific Northwest for the NHRA Northwest Nationals, and three time NHRA champion Ron Capps and the NAPA Auto Care Funny Car team have partnered with Muckleshoot Casino Resort aka The Biggest and Best In The Northwest, for the week.
Located near Auburn, Muckleshoot offers a vast array of dynamic gaming and entertainment options, diverse on-site dining establishments and luxurious accommodations. This makes it the ideal choice for both NHRA drivers and fans.
Ron had this to say about the partnership, “I always love going up to the Pacific Northwest. That area holds so many great memories for me as a driver, but our NAPA team is especially excited about returning to Seattle this year because we get to call the Muckleshoot Casino Resort home for the weekend.
“Our whole team is really excited about staying there. I don’t think a lot of the fans, let alone many of the other racers, even realized that the Muckleshoot Casino Resort is only seven miles from the race track. NHRA fans are getting a very cool opportunity as well. Part of the promotion includes the NHRA hosting an open-to-the-fans media day with Ron at the 400 plus room venue on Wednesday, July 17th from 1 – 2:30 pm PT. Ron’s 12,000 horsepower NAPA Auto Care Toyota GR Supra will be on display as well, throughout the day and Ron will be there to meet with the fans and Seattle area media members.
In addition, Ron’s Funny Car and Toyota Sequoia tow vehicle will carry Muckleshoot Casino Resort decals throughout the weekend. And that’s not all, Mucklshoot’s VIP guests will be treated to a front row view of the NAPA pit as they will be welcomed into the Ron Capps Motorsports Champions Club hospitality pavilion on Saturday for day two of qualifying. Part of the experience will include a private transporter and pit tour led by the four time Northwest Nationals winner, as well as photo and autograph opportunities.
“This partnership is such a win-win for our team because we also get to tie it into some of our weekend NHRA activation events as well,” Ron added. “We have NAPA folks coming in from Spokane, Portland and all over the greater Seattle area to join us and we’re excited to build this relationship with Muckleshoot Casino Resort.”
