Mecum Auctions Returning as Sponsor of Monterey Motorsports Festival During Car Week

This week it was announced that Mecum Auctions, host of The World’s Largest Collector Car Auction, will once again return as a major sponsor and supporter of the Monterey Motorsports Festival, as the festival returns to the peninsula during Car Week.

The 2025 Monterey Motorsports Festival will take place at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center on Saturday, August 16th from 2 pm – 10 pm. Mecum will have a significant presence, including its own dedicated area with an array of curated cars to represent all the major segments of the automotive scene. From overland vehicles to hypercars and everything in between.

Occupying almost 22 acres of the festival grounds, this year’s event will provide visitors with a full day of entertainment. On display will be a truly must see collection of classic and modern cars, with show stoppers from around the world. Keeping in the philosophy of One Culture, All Cars, visitors will be able to view a curated display of the best of the best hypercars, supercars, American muscle, lowriders, race cars, overland/4 wheelers, JDM, European, EV, motorcycles, and even some heavy machinery.

In addition, the Festival will provide live music and entertainment into the night including a VIP area, the all new Vino & Vibes wine tasting experience, so much more.

If you’re wanting to bring your family, then look no further than the GBA Kids Zone, fun and safe for kids of all ages. Kids can look forward to mini car races, obstacle courses and hosted games to name a few.

There will also be an impressive array of international food and beverages available making it a truly, all-you-could-need event for automotive enthusiasts.

Mecum has been hosting its live auction event during Monterey Car Week for over 15 years and this year will bring 600 vehicles and 100 motorcycles to the auction block at the Monterey Hyatt Regency Hotel & Spa on Del Monte Golf Course, August 14th – 18th and you won’t want to miss it.
